TRIP ITINERARY
CUSCO - CHINCHERO - MORAY - SALINERAS DE MARAS - OLLANTAYTAMBO - PISAC - CUSCO
Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting at 7:00 AM at the Machu Picchu Reservations office in Cusco. We’ll drive you for 45 minutes to Chinchero. At Chinchero, our guide will show you around the old Inca site and a beautiful old church. You’ll also get to meet a local family and see how they make traditional fabrics with natural dyes.
Next, we’ll visit Moray to see its amazing round terraces built by the Incas. Our guide will tell you about the history of the place and you’ll have time to take pictures and look around.
Then, we’ll head to the Maras salt mines. You’ll learn how the salt is harvested and see some unique salt crafts. There will be plenty of chances to take photos.
We’ll stop in the lovely town of Urubamba for a tasty buffet lunch around 12:30 PM. After lunch, we go to Ollantaytambo and tour the archaeological site there, finishing around 3:00 PM. If you’d like to end your tour in Ollantaytambo, you can choose to stay.
Lastly, we drive to the Pisac archaeological site. Our guide will take you around the terraces and you can take more stunning photos.
We plan to be back in Cusco by about 6:30 PM, after a full day of discovering the history and beauty of the Inca lands.
- When planning your trip, please note that travel time between destinations can range from 30 minutes to one hour by car. During these journeys, you’re not just traveling; you’re already beginning to enjoy the stunning views of the Sacred Valley.
- At each site you visit, you will have between 30 minutes and an hour to explore and deeply appreciate its historical and cultural significance.
- For those who have not yet purchased a tourist ticket, there is no need to worry. You can buy one at Chinchero, which is our first stop on the tour.

Entrance Fees
- BTG or Tourist Ticket: The prices are 70 soles for the partial ticket (Chinchero, Moray, Ollantaytambo, Pisac) and 130 soles for the full ticket. Please ensure you bring cash in soles, as no other currency is accepted and payments cannot be made by card.
- Salineras de Maras (Salt Mines): Entry fee is 20 soles per person.

**Pricing Details: Our prices for the Sacred Valley tours are competitive with those found in Cusco. Whether you book this tour online or directly at our office in Cusco, the price remains consistent. We are committed to maintaining the highest quality of service. Please note, the price does not include the tourist ticket required to visit the Sacred Valley 70 soles and not the entrance fee for the Salineras de Maras (salt mines), which is 20 soles, charged by the local community.

Booking the Sacred valley Full Day Tour
Online Booking:
- How to Book: Click on the yellow “BOOK ONLINE” button to be directed to our booking platform.
- Selecting Your Date: Choose the date for your trip. We have daily availability.
- Filling Out Information: Enter your general information in the required fields.
- Payment: Proceed to payment using any type of debit or credit card.
- Confirmation: After submitting your information and confirming payment, you will receive an email confirming both your tour and payment details. A follow-up email will provide personalized and detailed information about your tour to ensure you are well-prepared.
- Booking Deadline: Bookings can be made until 9:00 PM the day before the tour starts.
- Online Booking Fee: A booking fee of 2.9% applies, payable by the customer.
Booking at Our Office:
- Location: Visit us at our Cusco downtown office at Portal Nuevo 270 Plaza Regocijo. Our staff will provide detailed tour explanations and a map.
- Payment Methods:
- Cash: Accepted currencies include dollars, euros, and Peruvian soles.
- Cards: Payments via any type of card incur a 3.9% fee, covered by the customer.

This structured booking process is designed to ensure a smooth preparation for your adventure to Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley, whether you choose to book online or visit our office in Cusco.
Tour Reservation Terms and Conditions
Agency Cancellations:
- If Machu Picchu Reservations cancels the tour due to weather or political reasons, a cancellation may occur either before the start or during the tour. In such cases, the agency will refund 100% of the tour cost to the client.
Tour Reservation Changes:
- You may modify your tour date or switch to a similar tour (such as Palcoyo, Humantay Lake, Rainbow Mountain, or 7 Lagoons) at no additional cost until 7 PM the day before your tour begins.
- Please email any changes to machupicchureservations@gmail.com.
Cancellations and Refunds:
- Full Refund: Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the tour start time are eligible for a 100% refund.
- Partial Refund: Cancellations within 24 hours but before 7 PM on the day prior to the tour will receive a 50% refund.
- No Refund: Cancellations made after 7 PM the day before the tour are not eligible for any refund.
How to Cancel:

Our guide Javier was very knowledgable about the Inka sites and history and supported the group throughout the hike. Javier answered all of our questions, kept us laughing and even taught us a little Quechua along the way! The Chef and team of porters, led by Antonio, were incredible and kept us very well looked after! The meals were delicious and there was plenty of food (special shoutout to Cristobal who always made sure our tea was hot and our water was cold!). We would recommend this company (and Javier!) to anyone interested in doing the Inka trail!
