In Machupicchu Reservations we are aware that in all our routes we will be in contact with the natural environment, and as an internal policy we have a strong commitment to minimize our carbon footprint.
Our trekking staff has been properly trained in environmental protection issues, and we take care of every detail that can cause damage to the environment, that is why our passengers also receive the proper training to avoid leaving waste in the environment, and we also make all our staff aware that our natural environments are the lungs of our culture.
In the routes that we operate we will be in contact with natural flora and fauna, and any damage that is done has a great repercussion, that is why in Machupicchu Reservations we have strict policies for environmental protection.
In addition, on the trekking route we will be in contact with local communities, the same that preserve their traditions and lifestyle for hundreds of years, that is why for us to respect these traditions is fundamental, but also the same that need the progress and development that travelers can provide, without giving them unnecessary gifts or that can cause vices in the children of these communities; we only encourage responsible support, encouraging health, good nutrition, and health care.
We wish that everyone can enjoy a good hike, and we also wish well-being and development for the local communities and respect for the environment.
