Your day begins with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a scenic drive to the starting point of the trek. As you embark on the hike, our knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights about the area’s geology, history, and cultural significance. Trek through awe-inspiring landscapes, traversing diverse ecosystems, and take in the magnificence of the snow-capped Ausangate Mountain, one of the highest peaks in the Cusco region.

The highlight of the tour is the exploration of the Seven Lakes, each with its own unique beauty and vibrant colors. The tranquil turquoise waters of these glacial lakes offer a serene backdrop for capturing stunning photographs and enjoying a moment of reflection amidst nature.

After a full day of adventure, we will return to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, with memories of an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Andes.

Hotel/Airbnb Pickup Service:

Time: Our pickup service is available from 4:30 AM to 5:00 AM. Your guide will directly collect you from your accommodation in Cusco during this time.
Office Pickup Option: Alternatively, if you are close to our office located at Portal Nuevo 270, Plaza Regocijo, near Plaza de Armas, you can join us there at 5:00 AM. This is the final pickup location before the tour begins.
Booking Information: At the time of booking, please provide the name and address of your hotel or Airbnb. If you choose to meet at our office, please mention this preference.
Updates: If you have not finalized your accommodation at the time of booking, you can update your pickup details later by emailing us at machupicchureservations@gmail.com.

End of the Tour or Return:

Time and Location: The tour typically concludes between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM at Plaza Regocijo, which is conveniently located near Plaza de Armas. This is the designated endpoint of the tour.
Additional Drop-off Options: If you prefer to be dropped off at the Cusco airport or bus terminal, please inform your guide in advance. We are happy to accommodate your request; however, advance notice is required to ensure we can make the necessary arrangements.

Daily Departures and Booking: We offer daily tour departures, which you can book online via our website or in person at our Cusco office. Bookings can be made in advance or up to 9 PM the night before the tour, accommodating both early planners and last-minute decisions.

Tour Group Details: Typically, groups range from 14 to 16 participants, with a maximum of 18, all led by a bilingual English and Spanish-speaking professional guide.

Tour Meals: Enjoy a nutritious breakfast and buffet lunch also adapted for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free diets, and other dietary restrictions at no extra cost—just notify us in advance.

Free Luggage Storage: Conveniently store any extra luggage at our central Cusco office, available daily from 7 AM to 10 PM and early mornings from 4:45 AM to 5:15 AM before your tour starts, allowing you to explore worry-free.

Tour Reservation Changes: Modify your tour date or switch to a similar tour (like Palcoyo, Humantay Lake, Sacred Valley, or 7 Lagoons) at no additional cost, up to 7 PM the day before your tour starts. Please email changes to machupicchureservations@gmail.com.

Cancellations and Refunds:

Full Refund: Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the tour begins are eligible for a 100% refund.
Partial Refund: If you cancel within 24 hours but before 7 PM on the day prior to the tour, you will receive a 50% refund.
No Refund: Cancellations made after 7 PM the day before the tour are not eligible for a refund.

  5 Day Salkantay Trail - so much fun!!
Had an amazing time on the 5 day Salkantay trail. Our guide Alexis (Nacho) was super knowledgeable, funny and engaging. He kept the vibe high and was always making sure everyone was doing okay. Our guide, Amoroso, was absolutely fantastic—his knowledge, passion, and energy truly elevated the journey.   Wonderful Inka Trail Experience
We did the 4 day Inka trail hike, and had the best time! Our guide Javier was very knowledgable about the Inka sites and history and supported the group throughout the hike. Javier answered all of our questions, kept us laughing and even taught us a little Quechua along the way! The Chef and team of porters, led by Antonio, were incredible and kept us very well looked after! The meals were delicious and there was plenty of food (special shoutout to Cristobal who always made sure our tea was hot and our water was cold!). Im so glad i did this trek! The views were amazing and Omar (my tour guide) made it the BEST experince ever! He was so funny, motivating and knowledgable. We had a great time doing the 5 day Salkantay Trek. The nature is truly amazing.Our guide Alexis always looked out for us and combined interesting information with a lot of fun.Machu Picchu Reservation provides good organization and infrastructure (accomodation, food, transport) - great value for money.
