After a restful night at the hotel and a delightful breakfast, we’ll take you on a journey to Maras Moray, where you’ll discover the Inca’s agricultural acclimatization laboratory and marvel at the circular farming terraces. Next, we’ll drive you to the fascinating salt mines of Maras, where you can enter the Salineras and touch the salt crystals.
Our next stop is Chinchero, where you’ll admire the colonial temple built atop an Inca structure and witness its stunning art. Here, you’ll also visit textile workshops to learn about traditional iconography and the natural techniques used in textile production.
Following this, we’ll head to Urubamba for a scrumptious lunch at a local restaurant known for its healthy and clean dishes. Afterward, we’ll visit an Inca bar to taste the Inca beer, a special drink of the Incas, and interact with locals while learning about guinea pig farming and cuisine.
As the day comes to an end, we’ll make our way to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. You’ll spend the night in this charming town, preparing for the next day’s visit to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu.

Today, you’ll have the entire day to explore the captivating world of Machu Picchu, the Inca’s sacred sanctuary. Early in the morning, after a nourishing breakfast, we’ll take a bus up to Machu Picchu, allowing you to experience the lost city of the Incas without the crowds. Once inside, you’ll have ample time to capture stunning photos and take in the breathtaking views.
Following this, our expert guide will provide an informative tour of Machu Picchu, delving into the history and culture of the Incas. You’ll then have plenty of free time to explore the mystical site at your own pace. If you wish, you can hike to the Sun Gate or the Inca Bridge. For those who have booked in advance, the option to climb either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain is available.
After immersing yourself in the magic of Machu Picchu, we’ll return to Aguas Calientes for a delicious lunch at one of the town’s charming restaurants. In the afternoon, you’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where we’ll transfer you to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

- Make a payment online using any debit or credit card. There’s a 2.9% fee for online payments, which customers must cover.
- To secure your Machu Picchu tour by car 2 days, provide a $250 deposit per person. This helps obtain necessary permits and tickets from the Peruvian government.
- Optionally, you can pay the full tour amount upfront to avoid any future payment concerns.
- If you choose to pay only the deposit, the remaining balance is due 24 hours before the tour begins. You can pay in cash (soles or dollars) at the office in Cusco or by card (3.9% fee). You can also pay the balance online with any card (2.9% fee).

Our guide Javier was very knowledgable about the Inka sites and history and supported the group throughout the hike. Javier answered all of our questions, kept us laughing and even taught us a little Quechua along the way! The Chef and team of porters, led by Antonio, were incredible and kept us very well looked after! The meals were delicious and there was plenty of food (special shoutout to Cristobal who always made sure our tea was hot and our water was cold!).
