Cancellation Terms
- Full refund (100%): Cancel at least 24 hours before the tour begins
- Partial refund (50%): Cancel within 24 hours of departure, but before 7:00 PM the day before
- No refund: Cancellations made after 7:00 PM the night before, or in the case of a no-show
Note that online payment and card processing fees may not be refundable, even when the tour cost itself qualifies for reimbursement.
If Machu Picchu Team Cancels
Should we need to cancel due to circumstances beyond our control — such as severe weather, road closures, civil unrest, or safety concerns — you’ll be offered the choice to reschedule, switch to another available tour, or receive a refund for any portion of the service not delivered.

Since the tour departs around 8:30 AM — after typical breakfast hours — and returns to Cusco by about 3:00 PM, there’s a natural opportunity to have lunch in the city afterward. The route also doesn’t pass suitable restaurant stops that align with the tour’s schedule. For these reasons, meals aren’t factored into the tour price. We recommend eating breakfast before departure and packing water along with a light snack for the day.
How much time do we spend at each site?
Since this tour focuses on just two main attractions, you’ll get more time to enjoy each one fully. Visits to Moray and the Maras Salt Mines generally run between one and one and a half hours per stop — plenty of time for guided explanations, independent exploration, photos, and simply taking in the scenery without feeling rushed.

Hotel pick-up isn’t part of this tour because morning traffic in central Cusco tends to be heavy, and picking up passengers from multiple hotels could delay departure and disrupt the planned schedule. Instead, all travelers gather directly at the Machu Picchu Team office at 8:30 AM. Our centrally located office is within easy walking distance of most hotels in the historic center, or you can take a short taxi ride to the meeting point. Starting from a single location keeps the tour on schedule and makes for a smoother, more efficient departure.
